Delaware Park Notes DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 2. Robert Stovall, apprentice under contract to Donald P. Ross Brandywine Stable, reported to trainer Virgil "Buddy" Raines at Delaware Park. Stovall rode the first winner of his career at Belmont Park last September and has enjoyed successful seasons at New Orleans and New York. George Lisco will make his riding engagements. " : Mrs. Ada L. Rices Ring King, winner of the Cherry Blossom and Chesapeake, made the short trip to Delaware Park fr,om Garden State. Alan" T. Clarke, the Maryland owner, trainer and breeder, who won three races on the final day of the Maryland spring season, has 13 racers bedded down in local quarters. Stanley C. Mikells Achilles, who was taken sick en route to this point, has joined, his stablemates after having spent several days at a Maryland farm. The first division of thoroughbreds, be-loging to Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords is now on the grounds. Most prominent of the initial shipment were the veteran Post Card and the three-year-old Tahiti. The initial boxing show of the season, staged by recreation director, Jock LaBelle, drew a crowd of approximately 1,00 Monday night. LaBelle, matchmaker, an-j nouncer, referee and entrepeneur of th bi-, weekly shows, reported seven close matches of the bouts held in front of the grandstand. The Maryland Racing Council, a committee of horsemen, met at Delaware Park today. The group, which also includes various businessmen, discussed and made recommendations concerning various phases of thoroughbred racing. Mrs. Samuel S. Pistorios Brazen Brat and Singing Beauty returned from Garden State Park where they started in the Colonial Handicap on Memorial Day- The two fleet sprinters will be seen under silks in the better allowance races at the meeting.
