Breeders Sales to Handle Martin Dispersal, July 29 Horses in Training Excluded; Cleveland Holdings to Follow LEXINGTON, Ky., June 2. The Breeders Sales Company announced today that they handle the complete dispersal sale of all thoroughbreds, except those horses in training, belonging to the estate of lioyce G. Martin. This dispersal will be held on Thursday, July 29, the day after the companys annual summer sale of selected yearlings. The sales companys pavilion at Keeneland Race Course will be the site of the sale. Martin was a -director of the Breeders Sales Company for the past eight years and took very active interest in the companys affairs. Included in the Martin dispersal will be 46 broodmares with 25 foals of 1954 at side. Among this outstanding group are the dams of such stake horses as Goyamo, Red Charger, Marta, Navy Page, Prince Marque, Page Boots, Navy Chief, Fond Embrace and Imbros. The mares have been bred this year to Citation, Coaltown, Polynesian, Eight Thirty, Ardan, Goya II., Royal Charger, Menow, Dark Star, Cortil, Shut Out and the four stallions at. Woodvale Farm. A total of 22 yearlings will be listed for the dispersal, and,- in addition to the home stallions, are sired by Rico Monte, Coal-town, War Relic, Ardan, War Admiral, Devil Diver, Bimelech and First Fiddle. The four stallions presently standing at Woodvale will comprise another part of the catalogue. These horses are Our Boots, Haltal, Sport Page and Page Boots. One teaser will also, be listed for sale. In addition to the Martin dispersal, the sales company also will hold a complete dispersal sale of all thoroughbreds owned by J. L. Cleveland, Lexington breeder. The sale of the Cleveland holdings immediately will follow the Martin dispersal. Included in this sale will be 15 yearlings, 28 broodmares and 15 foals of .1954. The latter will be sold as one lot along with their dams. Catalogues for these sales will be available about the first week of July, and all horses may be seen prior to the. sale at Woodvale Farm and Clevelands Mintwood Farm.
