JUST A FOOT, outrun to the stretch, was taken out slightly for the drive and, finishing fast under good handling, wore down the leaders to win going away. TOP STOCKINGS, well placed from the start, gave a good effort, but was unable to stay with JUST A FOOT. STAG steadily worked way forward and closed strongly in a sharp performance. LIKE HOVER drifted out at the stretch turn, then finished well when straightened for the drive." HARVEST TIME took command early, set the pace until inside the stretch, then weakened while racing in -the deepest going. SAUREE tired after starting alertly. ABSOLUTE raced wide. FAST COSMIC showed nothing. PEANUTS MAN was never prominent. LUCKY CHIPS failed to stay after showing early speed. JANES PRIDE, outrun early, was taken out slightly entering the stretch and, responding to brisk urging, wore down the leaders to win going away. HARPETH MISS, forwardly placed from the start, reached the lead in the stretch after disposing of HERBS GAL but was unable to hold the top one. GREEN SAILOR, outrun to the stretch, closed fast when set down in the drive. WICKED GIRL gave a fair effort and had no excuse. MISS BOXER began alertly but dropped back immediately after the start. SHORT CABLE was never prominent after the break. FOREVER BON had early speed but failed to stay. HERBS GAL began fast, set the pace for a half mile but had nothing left for the drive. HARBOURTON raced evenly to the stretch, was forced to the middle of the track for the drive and, closing strongly, wore down the leaders during, the final furlong. FREE LUNCH, never far back, bore out entering the stretch and bumped SHERIFF GROSCH, finished well when straightened up, but was disqualified for fouling and placed third. SHERIFF GROSCH, roughed during the jam caused by FREE LUNCH at the stretch tum, closed strongly when clear. IN DEEP made a bold bid when sent to the inside for the drive, then tired. BILLS HYGRO took an early lead, set the pace for a half mile, then bore to the outside while tiring. WINNING began sluggishly. BILLIES ANN began alertly, but dropped out of serious contention immediately after the start.
