Racing Clan Represented At Annual Belmont Ball Affair at Manice Mansion Raises Funds for Travelers Aid Society BELMONT PARK, Elmont; L. X, N. Y., June 12. Some 700 representatives of the social and racing world gathered in the Manice mansion clubhouse and adjoining tent last night for the annual Belmont Ball, which this year raised funds for the Travelers Aid Society. Mrs. Conrad Thri-bault Headed the committee of ladies who arranged this festive affair, the motif of which was a carrousel, while Jeremiah D. Maguire acted as master of ceremonies. One of the highlights of the gala evening, which continued almost until workout time this morning, was the auctioning of a plate worn by the winner of todays Belmont Stakes. Arnold Hanger obtained the shoe on a bid of ,000. John A. Morris and Danny Van Cleif were the-auctioneers.
