Spotlight juveniles In Wade Park Purse Miss Deck-Top Fair Entry May Rule Slight Favorite In ThistleDown Offering THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 12. An excellent field of 11 two-year-old fillies will match strides in Mondays featured Wade Park Purse here at ThistleDown. Trainer Fred Sharpe will send an entry out in the Wade Park consisting of Queens Hope and Rio Riba. Another entry is the E. H. Lane coupling of Miss Deck and Top Fair. Others slated to face starter Blind are J. H. Houses Beta Ray, J W. Fletchers Wavete, Bailey and Davis Baileys Pride, Analan Stables Amnistiada, Sam C. Dykes Lot-O-Bim, John Fosters Fosters Cushla, and A. Hockenberrys Deb -Talk. The Lane entry may go postward as the slight choice in this event. While racing in the Crescent City last winter, Miss Deck was one of the outstanding fillies on the grounds and among her victories was a tally in the Debutante Stakes when she bested Miss Celestine by a neck in :22 for the two-furlong sprint. She broke third in that race and gained the lead at the furlong marker and was gradually drawing clear at the wire under Ovie Scurlocks clever handling. Daughter of Mr. Busfier Baileys Pride, a good looking daughter of Mr. Bushei Head Smart, will be making her first start of .the meeting and comes with excellent credentials. While at Lexington this spring she won for ,500, defeating Big Return by two lengths in :50y5. In her initial start she was third, beaten five lengths by Mister Carter in Keene-lands Mt. Brilliant Purse. Beta Ray, to be handled by Donal Bow-cut, won her only start when she came from third position at the head of the lane to gain a half-length decision over the filly CMine here on June 4. She is by Beau Max and was bred by her owner, who, incidentally, is. the farm manager for the fabulous King Ranch interests in Lexington.
