FUSE BOX was closest to HASTY HANK while the latter was making the pace and had little trouble taking command when ready, but was hustled along to the end although not seriously threatened. WATCH TOY improved his position in the stretch and was going well at the end. LADY BUSTER closed considerable ground on the outside. INSULATION was well up to the stretch then began to weaken. MON BAISER raced wide. HASTY HANK saved ground, but tired badly in the stretch. Scratched 19425 Ashes, 106. . SATISFIED went to the front early, and withstanding a mild challenge from LIGHTING WHIZ nearing the stretch turn, drew away from the latter in the stretch, but was all out to hold VEZLARK. The latter was never too far removed and came strongly in the last sixteenth to be gaming at the end BUSY NOW was well up from the start and had no apparent excuse. PLATITUDE headed the field a few steps out of the gate, was taken under light wraps after opening up daylight and going strongly through the stretch, increased his advantage to win easily. IDLE PLATTER lacked the early speed to keep up and saved ground while making his move, but failed to threaten the winner. NEW STREAM went evenly in a fair effort. CHERIFUL weakened in the stretch. HEUTEL was always close to the pace of VAGABOND KING and, challenging the latter successfully after rounding the stretch turn, went well thereafter under hard riding to withstand challenges from LIVING DOLL and SCREEMIN JACK. The latter was outpaced to the stretch, then came strongly in a good effort. LIVING DOLL was never too far away and finished gamely on the inside. SERRY raced well in attempting to keep up with LEA LANE and was never threatened for second place. SWEET JOSIE finished steadily to best the others. JOAN E. L. weakened in the stretch. SUPER DEVIL was outrun to the stretch turn, came strongly on the inside to best TUOSIX. The latter moved up to the pacemaking SHERRY JEN after entering the stretch and seemed just about to take command when he was headed by the winner. SPY MAGIC went along in fairly even fashion all the way. SLEEPY MABEL, close up early, was unable to find an opening after entering the stretch. SHERRY JEN stopped badly in the last eighth.
