FLEET PATH, never far back, was sent to the outside leaving the backstretch, then closed fairly well under punishment. SVIDHOD began alertly, was roughed when near the three and one-half furlong pole and, fortunate to escape falling, could not reach serious contention after back on stride. The latter, forwardly placed from the beginning, was sent to the outside of RAINTREE for the stretch run, finished willingly but could not overtake the wjnner, although much the best of the others. A foul claim against RAINTREE by WAR TOKENS rider was not allowed after the stewards checked the film patrol pictures. VERTREES lacked early foot but finished fast under brisk urging. MR.
