Maryland Notes LAUREL, Md., May 4. H. A. Dabsons Nances Lad was returned to Laurel from Belmont Park Tuesday. The Slide Rule colt stopped the unbeaten Boston Doge in the Swift Stakes at that track on Saturday but still will not be sent to Kentucky for the Derby. Dabson said that Nances Lad will next be seen at Pim-lico where he has the Preakness as his main objective. Oscar White sold Momus and the two-year-old Good Graces to the North Downs Farm of Eric Cradock. Terms of the sale were private and both horses are destined for Canadian racing, as Cradock is a prominent racing figure in that country. Jockey Charles McKee will ride Roy Mc- I Clarins Spring Grove Saturday in the 5,000 added Laurel Handicap at a mile and a sixteenth. Jockey Basil James motored up to New York to see Alberta Ranches In Reserve race in the Acorn at Belmont and will return to Laurel on Thursday and ride on the program.
