PASS was alertly naden setting the pace and was hard punished while tiring in the final stages. EVAS WAR worked into closer contention betweer horses and closed with a rush at the finish to narrowly best the others. HAPPY RABBIT was well placed and in the clear for the drive, but was not good enough. EAST BAY came out slightly for the drive and finished well. YOUR HEALTH lost some ground outs-de horses on the turn and finished willingly. ARDANSGAL broke slowly. CHANTER bore out on the turn. RED WINE II. broke poorly. BLOW GABRIEL walked away from the gate, raced on the outside improving position and closed resolutely in the stretch drive to wear down APOPHASIS at the end The latter was placed under pressure early to reach contention, wrested command from the outside on the stretch turn and held on fairly well. ANOTHER MOON was well placed, made a strong bid to take command on the final turn, but weakened. ARDAN ROMP made a quick move around horses on the turn and tired suddenly SINGING LANCE weakened under pressure. LADY ELEANOR and GOOD SHOWING quit. ROMAN PRINCESS alertly raced close to the pace; opened a clear lead in the stretch and continued well to hold FAMOUS GIFT safe. The latter began sluggishly, saved ground improving position, then was guided to the outside for the final stages and finished willingly in a good effort. MARIAN BELLE rushed forward from a slow start and lost a little ground on the turn. MOST ARDENT was under pressure showing speed and gave way after three furlongs. EASTER MODEL was green and unseated her rider in the parade, dashed off a short distance, then began well in the race, but was done early. JUBILEE appeared very green. GALE RIVER began well, raced to the leaders from the outside under strong urging on the final turn and drew clear in the last sixteenth. LORD RUSTY raced slightly wide into the far turn, reached the front, but weakened in the final stages. ME PERFECT was a keen factor from the beginning and weakened. PRABEAU could not keep up after the early stages, but finished well. RICO ROMANCE was not a serious factor. COMESOUTEVEN was taken back soon after a quick beginning and was restrained into the stretdi, then rallied mildly, but returned with nicks about his front ankles where he apparently overreached and grabbed himself. YON raced within easy striking distance, was forced out slightly by NOBLE PARTNER making his bid in the stretch but responded to punishment and willingly drew :lear. NOBLE PARTNER set the pace into the stretch, drifted out despite the riders efforts and weakened. BLUE LYRIC was a prominent factor, dropped down to the inside for the drive and lacked a rally. REVETMENT raced into close quarters at the far turn and did not threaten thereafter. GOFORWARD closed with good late„ speed. CLOTTED CREAM quit. FLEET ARGO vied for the early pace, was eased back on the final turn, then found room on the inside for the crucial stages and closed determinedly to take the decision. YAMA lost a little ground racing outside of the first flight, reached the front in the stretch drive and held on fairly well. HYPALONG moved to the front on the inside at the far turn, came out slightly at the head of the stretch and weakened only slightly. WISE DOGE rushed up behind horses entering the stretch, was steered to the inside and made a boTd bid, but hung. STRIKING HOUR lacked speed from the gate, then closed belatedly on the inside in the final furlong. FAST CASH lost ground on the turn and tired. ROYAL VIOLA and BLUE RHYMER quit. TO CASH immediately established a commanding lead, was given a light breather in the upper stretch and gamely responded to retain a safe advantage in the final stages. PETER LANE, taken up at the break to last place, was almost immediately hustled into contention on the inside, but came outside WONDROUS HOUR and lost some ground on the stretch turn, then hung. WONDROUS HOUR raced in closest pursuit of the winner under pressure, slightly bore out entering the stretch and weakened. ALGASIR appeared threatening saving ground on the stretch turn, but appeared to ease himself up when WONDROUS HOUR drifted back in and in front of him in the last furlong.
