He will carry 113 pounds in the event and will be ridden by Job Dean Jessop. One of Heutels most formidable rivals for the honors in the La Grange will be the speedy Heart Flash, who will also carry 113. The seven-year-old son of Seven Hearts won the Inaugural Handicap at Tropical Park last November 27, and campaigned rather sparingly in Florida for the rest of the winter. He is owned by Mrs. Duncan L. McLachlan and will likely make the pace in Thursdays race. High weight for the La Grange will be handled by Wagner and Reibers Boiler Plate, who will have jockey Leroy Pierce, a recent arrival here, in the saddle. The four-year-old son of Unbreakable will have 120 pounds. Next high is Nymphs Pride and War King, the latter on the also eligible list, each with 116. Lightweight in the field is James H. Thatchers My Lovely, who will carry 103 and be ridden by the apprentice William Walsh. Others Slated to Perform Others named for the La Grange are Elmer Stones Rare Music, 111; Tom and William Stewarts Umbrella Man, 113; Valley View Farms Idle Platter, 113; William H. Bishops Heredity, 113; Wallace Strongs Nickies Boy, 113; and Olen Sledges Cross Ring, 115, Although the entries for the 0,000 High Gun Handicap, Saturdays feature at Sportsmans Park, does not close until Thursday, the field for the one mile and one-sixteenth event is shaping up as one of the best of the meeting. Early indications are that the race, which will attract the best routers on the grounds, will be a wide* open affair. Three of the early entries for the big purse are Marion H. VanBergs Knights Reward, Inverwood Stables Grey Flash and .Streaking, and Clover Leaf Farms King. Knights Reward, a fast stepping brown gelding by Reaping Reward, will be after his second handicap victory of the meeting. The six-year-old won the ,500 Spring Handicap, last Saturdays seven-furlong feature. Streaking has won two races at the meeting, both over the seven furlongs. His first triumph was scored on Friday, April 29, when he beat Heredity by one and one-half lengths and came right back last Tuesday to defeat Air Flight for his second victory. The Clover Leaf Farm entry, King, is best known to the Chicago fans for winning the 0,000 added Illinois Owners Handicap at Hawthorne last fall.
