V Stewards Rulings FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 4.— The stewards today issued the following: rulings: "The application by Joseph Harold Roy of Manassas, Va., for a license to train race horses in Ohio, particularly at the Fort Miami Race Track, was denied by the stewards by action taken May 4, 1955. "Mr. Roy placed in the hands of the stewards a signed and notarized application-stating he has at present a West Virginia trainers license for 1955. On this basis the application . automatically became acceptable for approval and was tentatively signed by the stewards. A subsequent questioning of Mr. Andrew R. Winters, steward representing the. West -Virginia Racing Commission, at Charles Town Race Track, West Virginia, revealed that Mr. Roy had not officially been granted a West Virginia trainers license. This was deemed sufficient to warrant the decision by stewards at the Fort Miami race track." x "For crossing over, with his mount, Orbit, in front of, the horse Apricot in the stretch and thereby not keeping a straight course, during the running of. the fifth race Tuesday, May 3, 1955 at Fort Miami Rack Track, Maumee, Ohio, jockey K. E. Durbin is hereby suspended five racing days. The suspension is to start May 4, 1955. Orbit which finished, first, was disqualified and put second. Ruberto, a trainer in good standing, having satisfied the stewards of the Fort Miami Race Track, Maumee, Ohio, as to his responsibility, his appointment to train the horses of Mrs. A.. Carollo is hereby sanctioned by the stewards. "Foxy V. and Party List are the horses owned by Mrs. Carollo and returned to good standing. They were • previously trained by Mr. J. Cessarini, currently under suspension."
