To Run Virginia Gold Cup Over Exact Four-Mile Route WARRENTON, Va., May 4.— For the first time in its history, Saturdays thirtieth running of the Virginia Gold Cup will be contested over an exact four mile course. Heretofore the noted timber classic was run over an about four-mile course and 24 fences. The new course of greater length will have an additional three fences for a total of 27 jumps.
