MONGOOSE followed the pace closely and was under strong handling to wear down BLOTTO. The latter continued on gamely after having been responsible for the pace and just failed to last. HUNDRDED PROOF failed to menace the top pair after saving ground during her rally. TARRY NOT was unable to attain the early lead and weakened through the stretch. CONFUSER lacked a rally. BEEBEEDASHEA assumed command early, steadily increased his advantage to the furlong pole and faltered. JUESBUs rally was insufficient. CLOSE ATTACK gave way after having held a favorable position. RACE TANDEM faltered, as did NEDDIES JONES. SENSATION JR. raced for command through the opening half and flattened out. EMERGENCY FREE went lame. HASTEFIELD was impeded leaving the backstretch, was eased when apparently in distress, but pulled up sound. AURATUM broke tardily and closed well after driving between horses through the stretch. HOLIDAY TIME lacked the needed response after having held a menacing position. WARNING BELL established a clear early lead, held sway until inside the furlong pole and tired. JUBLET raced extremely wide. SUN FAME was never a factor.
