Wade ThistleDown Visitor In Interest of Hazel Park THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 18. Horace Wade came to ThistleDown today in the interest of Hazel Park. Wade, who serves as racing secretary at the Detroit, Michigan, race course, stopped off here to confer with horsemen planning in campaigning their charges at Hazel Park, which opens August 5, for a run of 53 days. He took in the Imp Handicap and immediately departed for his Coral Gables, . Florida, home. Wade reported he will begin working next week on the conditions for the first book of the Hazel Park session. Of course he will journey out to Gulfstream Park to inspect the improvements going on at the Hallandale, Fla., plant where he is, director of racing, racing secretary and heads the publicity staff. Wade stated that Hazel Park is offering a minimum purse of ,000, with others worth up to ,500 daily. The list of features contains 28 races which range from ,000 to 0,000 in purse value.
