Horses to Watch Horses who impressed Daily Racina Form representatives as beina ready to win: ARLINGTON PARK PRETTY PLUNGER Unbeaten daughter of Hill Prince in the stable of Mrs. Ada L. Rice. Regarded as being a candidate for two-year-old filly honors. ICEBERG II. Former grass champion retains fairly good form despite his seven years. Could be dangerous on the turf. MONTENEGRIN Continues to display his good form in workouts since his victory. Should be strong contender against second grade handicappers. FRASER VALLEY Look for this one to race well on the grass at Arlington. Came from some distance back to finish fast-going second at Balmoral. IRISH FLARE Likes the turf and seldom runs a poor race on it when placed with his own kind. Should ciick at Arlington. PRECIOUS STONE Turned in a very good effort to be third in the seven-furlong Domino Handicap at Balmoral. Was going fast at the end. SUNNY LUCK Won with the greatest of ease in first start of career at Washington Park. Two-year-old seems to like muddy track. SEA O ERIN Dont let his turf races throw you off. Seems to be much more partial to a dirt course than to the grass. Isgood runner. BLUE AMBER Could come up with excellent race in first start at Arlington Park. Is a good finisher. SPRING KHAL Steady goer who is always tough to beat when in the right company. Can run fairly well in any type of going. FIRST SHANNON This ,000 runner seemed to be approaching winning form. Last at Washington Park was very good. HASSEYAMPA This is too nice a colt to go winless for long. Has chance agains any but the very best. DETROIT RACE COURSE MONEY BROKER Grissom stable stakes racer is training satisfactorily. He recently breezed four furlongs in :49. BUSTER JIM Useful ,000 class sprinter is rapidly reaching peak form, dockers caught him five-eighths in 1:00, handily, the other morning: JILTED GOB Buhl stable sprinter gave game effort after beginning slowly last start. Capable of trimming same class field. SEE MY WAY Lake Stable plater was beaten narrow margin by Brooky in recent six-furlong dash. Belongs with ,500 grade company. MISS J. B. Maiden two-year-old filly from the Randolph barn gave good effort behind Haveness. Due for early graduation. LOCHY Waldron stable plater can handle muddy or dry footing and dockers report he is razor sharp. JEFFRI K. Maiden two-year-old in the Grissom barn raced well -in his only start. He probably will improve off that effort. GRANITE FLYN Quick plater races well on any type footing and is dangerous when dropped in with ,500 grade sprinters. TORTILLA Hoop, Jr. stallion had rough trip in recent middle-distance event and will do better with even break in racing luck. SANFOIN Closed with belated burst of speed in sprint last time and appears ready for a creditable middle-distance effort. FOLDING MON Two-year-old maiden has been close up in recent starts and should not be long in earning graduation victory. FINICAL The manner in which this gelding scored in last start following lengthy absence would suggest additional future successes. CONNIES PAL First start following several months of inactivity was highly impressive. Improvement from that one is expected. MINNIE MOOCHER Has impressed the dockers in recent morning trials. Latest six furlongs in 1:14, handily, indicates j sharpness. i SICKLES SOUND-Slight drop in classi- j i fication is all required to assure victory for this better-than-average plater. SOUTH POINT Comes from smartly trained unit which sends it charges post-ward fit and ready. May score at next asking if not too ambitiously placed. WHEAT STATE Has been training cleverly for forthcoming start. Recent seven panels in 1:30 over Belmont training track was impressive. NARRAGANSETT PARK SWADELLETTE This two-year old filly is certain to earn her maiden victory in near future for in each effort she has encountered ill racing luck. BUSY EVENING Cheap but dependable router who gives best in every outing. Should connect in a ,000 claiming race at a mile and one-sixteenth or longer. FANCY GENT Appeared to be at his best in last effort which he won while performing against ,500 claimers at six furlongs. There is no reason this one cannot handle better and he should repeat with another visit to winners circle.. NEVERSIN K-Was trapped in close quarters while making a strong bid in her last effort but was still good enough to finish second. Entitled to another chance against same company, ,000 claimers, while going a mile and one-sixteenth or more. COLBERT Turned in an exceptionally fast six furlongs last week while handling a field of maidens. This three-year-old may be able to step up in more select company and repeat that effort. GET BUSY This gelding appears to have reached his best effort as evidenced by his last two races, the first of which he won against ,500 claimers, and the next in which he finished a strong second against ,500 company. Should be able to beat same class opposition in a route event. MINDS EYE Last outing for this two-year-old was hardly indicative of her true form so she should be given another chance against a band of maidens. HILL K. This first-time starter was particularly impressive in his debut here last week when he was beaten just a nose in a five-furlong dash. RARINTGO Initial effort for this juvenile was a strong performance for he handled" a field of maidens in a rather clever fashion and in fast time. Take him right back against more select company and he could well make it two in a row. DANDY SUE This two-year-old homebred filly showed plenty of courage in her initial outing here last week, finishing a fast-closing fourth after having performed greenly through early stages of the race. Is certain to benefit greatly from her first try. DELAWARE PARK JERSEY DEVIL Easy victory over ,000 sprinters suggests this one is capable of moving for new owner. PIPING ARMS Tired in first start for many weeks, but should improve sufficiently to handle ,500 sprinters. DENNY A plater who improves with distance and has given assurance of present fitness. MONMOUTH PARK ERRASINA Fleet filly needed her first race here and she needs only to be placed with the right company to gain a purse. ROMAN FAN Worked well from the gate the other morning and may show improvement over recent races. CUBED ICE Stepped off five furlongs in :59 recently and will be sharp at the first asking. I APPEAL Exceedingly fast colt may beat anything he meets in his present form. i i Holds the track record of 1:08 at Gar- d en S t ci t g 2?Lx1c FRESHANEASY Fillys race last week should have done her considerable good. May be capable of stepping up in company and winning her next. SQUARE NUMBER Has" had tough luck in the only two starts of her career, due to breaking slowly. Either more speed from the gate or clear racing could bring her the laurels. BILLS ADMIRAL Probably needed his first race. A consistent performer at either sprints or distances. GOLDEN WEST Seems approaching a winning effort. Looked good recently working in 1:13 from the gate. FAIRMOUNT PARK MISS MIM JR. Raced well in only start here. Worked impressively before coming here and should improve over initial performance at this track. DWELLA Still waiting for this one to make her re-appearance. There is a race in the book of conditions that suits. DEVILWOOD Seldom misses winning a purse at each . meeting. Raced well in making seasonal debut here. BERNOUR This one went a sixteenth of a mile further than the others in his last race. With better racing luck can easily handle the field that beat him. CULTURE Clockers report this one doing well in morning trials. Comes from a stable that is going well. WHRETT Coming to best racing form. Showed good improvement in last race. EXPOSITION A green two-year-old that needs racing experience. This one is really a runner and should leave the ranks of non-winners before the end of the meeting. f BARBIE B Throw out race of last Friday. When in a running mood can lose" the kind that beat her in that event. TOP TWIG Never better. Encountered bad racing luck Friday night. Had little chance to do best because of repeated interference the final eighth. RIVERDOWNS SIGNAL CODE Set the pace to the stretch last time postward, only to falter in closing strides. May forget to stop in next engagement. CHOICE B. Pressed the pace the entire distance the last engagement and may improve enough from that effort to garner a purse at the next asking. MISS AGOO Displayed lots of zip in most recent essay. Should score in the very near future. LONOKE FLASH Rallied strong in late stages in most recent performance. Should she break more alertly she could be difficult to beat. GILDED RIGHT Has a touch of class, but had difficulty finding best stride in a sprint affair late this week. May do better when again stretched out a bit. CATHYS GIRL Turned in a commendable performance last time and should grace the winners circle within the next few days. LIGHTDOWN Steady - going campaigner who customarily earns his share. Tab for early victory. BOGAN Closed well in last to barely miss the major portion. Will bear watching when in against the same sort. EQUIDASH R e c e n t six-length victory makes this Equistone gelding difficult to overlook in any event. Could scale the ladder a bit without too much difficulty. ENGLISH MAN Long overdue for a winning performance and should click at the first asking. Soft footing will also be a factor in his favor. OLD BOOTY Displayed plenty of speed in last, but tired in the late strides in the very heavy going. More firm footing should enhance his chances. FUMEUR Beaten favorite in last and should redeem that effort in the very near future. A rather consistent sort when not too ambitiously placed. THISTLEDOWN AIRTROOP Turned in a disappointing effort in latest effort but displayed obvious dislike for the going. JOLISAM Finished second in most recent-outing and might improve when sent a mile or longer. SILK TRIP This juvenile should not be long in graduating if allowed to compete for a ,000 claiming price. Broke tardily in latest try. MY JIM Still retains his speed and might- have needed his debut to reach peak condition. UNCLE PETE Might have been a trifle short of top form when third to The Veep. Deserves another chance. COMPANION A maiden two - year - old who showed good speed over muddy going recently. Tired in the drive but could improve off the outing. CARNIVAL CAT Lost all chance when impeded along the backstretch in last effort. GRAY GOWN Just missed in latest en-:; deavor after breaking in a tangle. Might 1 1 " u V v ,. carry apprentice Vidal Guarjardo to his first saddle victory next time out. SUBITA Broke sluggishly in first appearance here. Had been idle for some weeks and should improve with the help of. this race. CAROLLING A cheap sort but she pays her way and is presently at top form. OMAHA WALETA H. Y BOND Workouts reveal this sophomore is retaining her sharp edge and she should be hard to beat at this meeting. DUTCH WYATT Closed full of run to be beaten narrowly by Papagayo and Jay-cile in last. Trainer S. H. Hill should spot him for a winning effort real soon. MISS CROSS Last outing was u big improvement and should be a strong threat when back with sprinters of ,000 value. ABBOTSFORD Bore in badly during his last outing and might have been best had the rider been able to handle him through the stretch. Should lose little time in scoring over middle-distance platers. CANCANIER Was going strongly at the finish in last and appears ready to return to winning ways. Added distance should be to his advantage. GINGER SUE This filly has had rough trips in previous outings here. Has early speed and should handle a band of juveniles soon. MR.
