SANS FAUTE, unhurried in the early stages, came lo the extreme outside to make his bid on entering the stretch and wore down WIRE FLASH inside the final sixteenth. The latter had speed from the start, raced wide throughout and held on fairly well. HOPE HE DUS worked his way up between horses in the late stages and finished full of run. JOHN PEEL was used up in vying for the early lead. BEACH BULL was void of early speed. CRUSADE showed speed for a half mile. HY-SUE, outrun for the first half mile, came wide While making her bid on the second turn and wore down SHORE LIGHTS nearing the final furlong. SILLY MINNIE, far back for the first six furlongs, also came wide into the stretch and finished full of run. SHORE LIGHTS was never far back, wore down the leaders between calls in the early stretch and had little left when the real test came. f JANTEMBER found her best stride too late. PLATTERETTE had no apparent excuse in an even effort. MIDNIGHT QUEEN was outrun. IS NEWBORN displayed good speed from the start, saved ground to the final turn, bore out badly, but under pressure came again when straightened away and outfinished SUPER TIME. The latter was never far back, came to the front when the winner bore out and in a stiff drive held on stubbornly. CRANBERRY JOE saved ground while advancing, but appeared to hang in the final drive. YASUO was never a serious contender. HYDROGEN BOMB was void of early speed. LE REGENT failed to reach a contending position. SWEET HONEY appeared unable to handle the going. EVAS TRANCE moved through along the inside on the turn and made a bold bid while under punishment in the final furlong. JIFFY found her best stride too late.
