WONDER BOY, a sharp factor from the start, took command from KIND MOUD approaching the stretch, responded readily when set down in the drive and held LADDIES SIS safe, but won with little left. LADDIES SIS, forwardly placed from the outset, finished determinedly under brisk urging but could not jvertake the winner. PIETS SON closed strongly in a good performance. MIZ ZARETA, forced slightly wide entering the stretch, finished willingly when straightened for the drive. BELBOOTS had early foot but failed to stay. CAROLYN W. began sluggishly, was hustled to reach serious contention and tired during the stretch run. PAY TRAIN had no excuse. WHY STEP was outrun. KIND MOUD took an early lead, raced well to the stretch, then gave way. DEER-ACE saved ground the entire trip but failed to reach serious contention. GRAND PARIS raced wide. ROSEFLARE showed nothing. JOFIELD, outrun to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive, and responding to vigorous urging, disposed of the leaders in the last sixteenth. HARPETH MISS, a keen factor from the start, reached the lead between calls near the finish but could not withstand the lop one. EXOTIC GIRL took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered. ROCKABYE MARY finished fairly well under punishment. HASTY BEE tired during the drive. FREE LUNCH raced wide, entering the stretch and could not threaten the leaders when straight for the drive. LOVELY DEVIL could not keep up. BECKYS PRIDE raced with EXOTIC GIRL until inside the stretch, reached the lead, then failed to stay. VELVET appeared sore during the post parade and was never dangerous in the running. FLO D. stumbled immediately after the break and failed to recover. I DARE YOU had no mishap. NEWTON AIRDS raced far back the entire trip, showing nothing. TRIUMPHANT, away . fast, raced with ROMMEL to the stretch, then was unable to stay with TIFFANY. VIE gave a good effort and had no excuse. COURTESY BOY began sluggishly and was never dangerous. DUTY gave a sharp performance and had no mishap. HY-LIBERTY raced wide through the stretch. DAWNEY failed to respond when set down for the drive. GAY STORY was never dangerous. BRAMBLE SUN, in hand while racing forwardly placed to the stretch, brushed with LANDMARK GAL during the drive, but assumed command and held the advantage to the finish while under strong handling. LANDMARK GAL, a sharp factor from the start, went to the front when settled on the backstretch, brushed with BRAMBLE SUN during the stretch run, then came again but could not overtake the latter, although easily best of the others. A foul claim by LANDMARK GALs rider against BRAMBLE SUN was not allowed by the stewards. STARBOROUGH, in hand to the last three-eighths, closed strongly but could not threaten the leaders.
