Determine Heads Field For Ingle wood Handicap To Race Coupled With Alidon; Mister Gus, Berseem Threats HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 24. The field for Saturdays 5,-000-added Inglewood Handicap is small but the eight horses for which the fee to enter overnight was paid are eight of the best handicap performers in America, and they seem certain to put on a memorable battle over the mile and sixteenth-distance. Andy Crevolins Determine heads the field and will be coupled with Louis B. Mayers Alidon, as both are trained by Bill Molter. Vying with the entry for public favoritism will be Llangollen Farms Mister Gus and Abe Hirschbergs Berseem. They have much to commend them. The other half of the field consists of Fred G. Johnstons Cold Command, Neil McCarthys Novarulla, John Eyrauds Karim and Rex Ellsworths Correspondent. Determine will have 124 pounds in his saddle, .which means he will be giving from 6 to 17 pounds to his opponents. In his last race, the gun metal gray, turned in one of the very best efforts of his career. Go ing "at equal scale weight with Swaps, he toted 126 pounds and the mile and a sixteenth was run in 1:40, time which bettered the old world mark. He was running strong at the finish, too. Mister Gus, will receive warm support. This Nasrullah colt has apparently recovered completely from the leg trouble which shelved him three years ago after , he had amazed New York turfites with his speed. He set the pace in the Californian, and yielded in the late stretch to De- . ,termine.
