CAVORT began alertly, easily raced into a commanding lead entering the stretch and was being taken in hand at the finish. ATTEND SIR dropped back racing inside horses after the start, found a large opening rallying from the final turn and finished willingly. I CANCAN saved ground entering contention, then lacked a rally. NEW TYPE finished well over tiring horses. DIVING BOOTS raced on the outside. WISE ZAPATA tired and drifted wide. JERRYS BEST raced into contention on the outside early, rapidly opened a safe lead entering the stretch and was taken in hand for the finish. GUSTO was briskly handled setting the pace and held on fairly well over the others. LUSCIOUS FRUIT saved ground and finished well for her placing. POMPOSITY broke poorly. SWAMP REBEL had early speed. YOUR HEALTH was a sharp factor under urginq and faltered after a half-mile. WINSHIP did not extend herself. SNARE was briskly handled vying for the pace from the outside and outgamed the opposition in the final drive. ANKARA raced up behind horses at the far turn and was held under restraint to the head of the stretch, then circled extremely wide and was rapidly getting to the winner. SAUCY COLLEEN was hustled along maintaining a short advantage, drifted wide in the final stages and weakened. LONELY MAID was a sharp contender to the stretch and weakened. RICH AND RARE was a sharp contender from the beginning, was forced out by GRID through the stretch, but continued resolutely under punishment and drew clear. GRID slipped through on the inside to take command at the first turn, bore out on the stretch turn and. slightly weakened gradually drifting out in the drive. GRAND RAPIDS, never far back, had to be taken in hand and swerved sharply to the inside when GRID bore out at the head of the stretch, then hung. BETTER MAID steadily improved her position and finished gamely. CAMEO began fast, bore out on the turn and weakened. LADY TATULA could not keep up. ALPINE ROSE lost ground outside horses. OLD GLENDALE was snugly rated setting the pace, stumbled suddenly, pulled himself up at the far turn, but regained stride to hold sway into the final eighth and then tired. CANNONADE was under light pressure while being outrun and closed well in the stretch run. ASSUAN made up ground to loom a threat in the upper stretch, but hung.
