I 1 ; t 1 . , 1 i r j Arlington Holiday Stakes Nominees Stars and Stripes Attracts 29 Turf Runners; Hyde Park Draws Fifty-Two Juveniles ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, Dl., June 24. Racing secretary Fredrick G. "Pat" Farrell today released the nominations lists to both the Hyde Park Stakes and the Stars and Stripes Handicap, dou-bleheader stakes events featuring Arlingtons traditional Fourth of July program. Twenty-nine performers.representing the nations rankjng grass specialists, were named for the 5,000 added Stars and Stripes grass feature. Heading the impressive roster is W. Arnold Hangers 1953 grass champion, Iceberg XL, recent Arlington grass winner, who has been third and second in the past two runnings of the Stars and Stripes mile and one-eighth feature. Other top-level grass runners nominated for the event are the Hasty House Farms stakes-winning entry of Sea O Erin and Mister Black. Mister Black won the Continental Turf Handicap at the Balmoral meeting. Mrs. Harry L. Nathensons improved Blue Choir, Irish-import who won the Balmoral Turf Handicap, also is among the nominees, as is Mrs. J. P. Keezeks Abbe Sting, 1953 Stars and Stripes winner; Mrs. Edward Laskers By Zeus; Sam Tufanos Wise Margin; Walmac Farms Hasseyampa; Reverie Knoll Farms Smoke Screen, and Calumet Farms Mark-Ye-Well. Doc Eggers, Tiger Wander Named Nick Burgers Doc Eggers, winner of Arlingtons Primer Stakes, and Sam E. Wilsons triple-stakes winner, Tiger Wander, head a classy list of 52 nominations to the 0,000 added Hyde Park Stakes for two-year-olds. Others named for the five and one-half furlongs test are Mrs. Joseph Tomlinsons highly-regarded Nasrullah colt, Homeplace; C. F. Mprriss Colonel Wilson, William Hal Bishops Skeptical Kid, E. Gay Drakes Swoons Son, Mrs. Ada L. Rices Flight History and Saucier and Cashs Almas" Heart.
