Closing of Two Detroit Stakes DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 24. Racing secretary-handicapper Charles J. McLennan calls attention to turfmen to the closing of entries on Saturday, July 9, for the 0,000 Frontier Handicap, and Saturday, July 16, for the 0,000 Lads and Lassies Stakes. Three-year-olds and older are eligible to the nine furlongs Frontier, which will be renewed Saturday, July 23, while two-year-olds of both sexes will contest the six furlongs Lads and Lassies, now set for decision on Saturday, July 30.
