Conrad in British Open ST. ANDREWS, Scotland, June 24 UP. The Royal and Ancient Golf Club today accepted British amateur champion Joe Conrad of San Antonio, Texas, as a definite starter for the Open tournament which starts here July 4. Conrads entry until now had been provisional because he was awaiting an answer to his request for leave of absence from the U. S. Air Force. This has now been granted to the ypung lieutenant, who won the Amateur in his first attempt
