AIR CHECK, slow to begin, worked his way up on the outside to gain contention after three furlongs, was steadied on the turns, responded when roused in the stretch and was drawing clear at the end. -CASEYS ERROR broke alertly, dropped back slightly before a quarter mile, was moved up on the outside to engage the leader before entering the stretch, rode STRATO-STREAK close while assuming the lead, then gave way. STRATO-STREAK moved alertly along the inside to gain a clear lead, saved ground to the final turn, came out slightly, then weakened after being brushed. ALIBI LIL was unable to make up ground. MONTIS DREAM lacked early speed. DUNAM was tardy leaving the gate and gradually made up ground. WRIGHTS FLIGHT weakened. MADCAP MEG had brief speed and retired. INDICTMENT, forwardly placed on the outside, was steered to the inside for the drive but was not good enough. DUN DANDY, close up under steady restraint, rallied mildly. WINGED IMPULSE saved ground to better late position. HEIR OF PINES failed to respond when set down. SIONNACH flattened out when roused. CAMEO dropped back after a half mile. MALVALEE circled the field on the final turn to gain the lead while racing wide and drew out easily. WARETTE came between horses on the turn and closed with a late rush. CALL OF MINE steadied into the far turn and was_forced to lose ground while rallying, then went evenly in the drive. THIN GLASS went up between horses to take the early lead, showed speed to the stretch and weakened. WRONG ONE improved his position gradually. SHOW HERO passed tiring horses. WARSAW saved ground while giving way. OPAQUE broke slowly. POLISHED BRASS went evenly. EDNA H. was unable to keep up. MY TULSA LADY had brief speed. BURROS GIRL retired steadily. BARDSTOWN gained command along the inside, was kept in hand until midway in the final turn, then drew out when roused and was in hand through the final, sixteenth. POWHIRI was sent up along the inside nearing the far turn, had to be taken up when momentarily blocked, continued along the inside to engage the leader, but was not good enough. DJIMMY was forwardly placed on the outside and was unable to reach the leaders, but closing with good energy. HYPERIL dropped back after breaking alertly and failed to make up ground when put to pressure. NOBLE WARRIOR was C under stout restraint going along with the pace and failed to stay when roused. TINO BETTS, forwardly placed throughout, held on willingly. SACHET -was under steady urging from the outset but failed to menace. OUR FELCHA closed ground in the stretch. CHANCLIES lacked speed. BILL W. was in close quarters down the backstretch and failed to rally when clear. APRES MOI weakened. CINCHRISSA retired steadily after losing the lead. PROMPT IMPULSE showed good speed from the start, remained close up while giving way, regained command as THE GENIUS was taken up sharply and was under pressure to draw out in the final furlong. KOKO DOZO dropped back and settled into stride in the opening quarter mile, moved up on the extreme outside with a belated rush and was closing fast. THE POSSE, forced to lose ground while rallying, finished stoutly in the closing sixteenth. AMAWALK steered to the inside leaving the backstretch, had ample room into the stretch but was not good enough. CANDLE WOOD moved up when called on and appeared to hang. LORD RUSTY wasjorced wide on the final turn and failed to recover. THE GENIUS showed speed, appeared to be bearing out and hampering rider, assumed command under wraps and attempted to bolt on the final turn. DUDLEY DARBURY was outrun.
