Cfel land-Trained Trio Returning to Suffolk Come On Red, Dark Charger and Tournure Back as Sophomores EAST BOSTON, Mass., May 11.— Three thoroughbreds, who were prominent here last season as juveniles, including Come On Red, return to Suffolk Downs under the guiding hand of Odie Clelland. It was just a year ago this time that Odie brought Come On Red, a promising young colt and a pair of fillies, Tournure and Dark Charger, into competition at the East Boston oval. Now, they return as sophomores io compete for the major stakes for three-year-olds during the 36-day spring meeting which opens next Monday. Murlogg Farms Come On Red came from fourteenth place to finish third in the Kentucky classic beaten two lengths. Tournure, owner by Mrs. J. M. Bran-ham, is shipping here after finishing an impressive third in the 82nd running of the Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs last Friday. Dark Charger, also owned by Murlogg Farm, unlike Come On Red and Tournure, is strictly a sprinter. With three three-year-olds such as these, Odie Clelland is naturally looking forward to a banner meeting at Suffolk Downs. But, hell also have many more to race. He has a large group of promising two-year-olds. In addition Clelland will have Darrell Madden, one of the most popular veteran riders, to do his booting.
