JUST FREEDOM, forwardly placed from the start, responded willingly when set down through the stretch and, disposing of GOOD CHEER, won going away. The latter took an early lead, made the pace until inside the stretch buL could not hold the top one. GAY RIBBONS, in hand to the stretch, closed strongly in the middle of the track. KANAWHA lacked early foot but finished fairly well under urging. NEAR YOU made a mild bid approaching the stretch, then failed to rally when set down in the drive. NEMESIA tired. The latter .saved ground early, remained on the inside for the stretch run and closed fast but could not overtake the top one. ABACUS went to the front early, made the pacer until nearing the finish, then faltered. BRUCE lacked early speed and raced wide through the stretch. HERES COLINA tired during the drive. NEVADA JOHN began fast, dropped back after the start, then made-a mild bid approaching the stretch but had nothing left for the drive. MONON BRAVE showed little. DARLING DORA tired. SUPER BILT had early foot but failed to stay. SVIDHOD had brief speed.
