I Fort Miami Presenting Nine-Race Card Today Geoffrey G. Eyes Fourth Win Of Meet in Secor Hotef Cap By T. J. MULLIGAN FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 11. — John R. Watkins, racing secretary and handicapper at the Fort Miami oval, has arranged a rather attractive nine-race program for Saturday headed by the Secor Hotel Handicap. This is a mile and a sixteenth test for four-year-olds and upward and nine of the better distance performers on the grounds have accepted the issue; Geoffrey G., who belongs to A. F. Stone and is conditioned by J. Tribula, will attempt to chalk up his fourth victory at the current session in Saturdays headliner. The son of Basileus II. was never in better condition and may be a slight favorite. The track was muddy this morning, but with the brisk winds and warm sunshine may dry out to some extent by race time for Saturdays program. Geoffrey G. seems ; capable of handling any kind of track as he registered his last victory here on Wednesday in sloppy going and prior to that winning essay scored over a fast racing strip. Jockey. Johnny McCracken, who guided him to the winners circle on Wednesday, is again slatqd to handle the •riding chores. Hard Ruler, who races in the partnership of Yankee and Tuttle, is ajkpeak form and may be running at top sp~eed all the way and is likely to have his share of followers in the main attraction. . Beths Girl, who is owned and trained by C. L. Cray, disappointed in the Toeppe Handicap at this course last Saturday, but the Cray standardbearer won the Maumee j Handicap and the WTOD Handicap prior to her defeat last week-end when she| wound up fourth. Beths Girl lias been | assigned the top impost of 118 pounds and may be capable of the task. Arrayed against the above trio are such shifty thoroughbreds as Mrs. M. Cottons Marie Claire, W. Bradys Bob Stewart, Mrs. B. M. Palms BulLMcGee, J. Passeros Just For" You, Dictation, who runs in the colors of Hodge and Hawkins, and Well, who is jointly owned by Butler and Mikesell. The seventh race is listed as the supporting feature and eight speedsters will battle it out at six-furlongs. Kitchen Betty, Young Gander and MLady Sweep should furnish the contention in this event.
