JohnieMike Engages Nine In Debonair at Hollywood Tecolotito and Mobile Also in Six Furlongs Sophomore Event HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 11. — Ten hard-hitting three-year-old?, most of them opening a campaign whid will be climaxed in the 5,000 adder Westerner on July 21, were named this morning for tomorrows 5,000 added Debonair Stakes, six furlongs feature of the first Saturday program of the 55 -day Hollywood Park meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Armstrongs Johnie Mike tops the field which also includes Rancho Tecoletes Tecolotito, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Turners Fathers Risk and the Bill .Molter-trained pair of L. B. Mayers Falmer and Arcadia Stable and John Hertz Mobile. Johnie Mike was an early season sensation at Santa Anita. He won an allowance race and the JLos Feliz Stakes before finishing second to Count Chic in the San Miguel Stakes. Prior to that he was a , galloping winner of his only two starts at Tanforan as a two-year-old. The Washington-bred son of Rover recently drilled a fast six furlongs in 1:10% between races at Tanforan. Bill Shoemaker will handle Johnie Mike. Tecolotito, a stakes winner as a two-year-old, is back in peak condition arid is exceptionally tough at the sprint distance. He won three straight six-furlong events at Tanforan before arriving at Hollywood. Last summer he was a close second to Focus in a division of the Ca-brillo Stakes at this course. Ismael Va-lenzuela has been signed to ride by trainer Howard Long.
