L. Travis; bred by J W Stanley IN GATE-5:59. OFF AT 5:59 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won easily; second and third driving. HALCYON CHANCE gained a contending position early on the outside, then assumed command while still under restraint and widened his margin thereafter when straightened away in the stretch. HOME FLEET was bumped coming out of the gate, was allowed to drop back, then was going strongly in the stretch, although unable to menace the winner. SINGING GIRL held a forward position throughout, but lacked a rally. BATTLE OATH came from far back while racing between horses in the stretch. PLUCKY WILLIE was forced to take up on the first turn, was then sent up to challenge the winner and flattened out badly in the final quarter mile.
