Social Climber to Be Fired And Rested for Santa Anita HOLLYWOOD PARK, Iglewood, Calif., June 22. — Llangollen Farms Social Climber, winner of the 16,800 Califor-nian and second in the Hollywood Premiere Handicap, is soon to be fired and turned out, according to trainer Charley Whittingham. Whittingham said today that the ankle trouble which has been bothering* Social Climber for the past several weeks is not improving and he plans to fire the Your Host colt. "Ill fire him and turn him out and then bring him back in again, probably for Santa Anita," Whittingham said this morning. "He had splint trouble right after his win the Californian but we cured that. However, we cant clear the ankles up so well give him a little rest." Social Climber won 5,700 in his two starts, earning nearly half of the total which puts Llangollen atop the owners standings at Hollywood. Last year here as a sophomore, Social Climber won the Cinema and El Dorado Handicaps and finished second in the Westerner. x
