SCOTTS HILL, hustled along early to gain a clear lead, saved ground and was ridden to hold BLUE HORIZON safe. The latter followed in closest pursuit of the winner from the start, loomed boldly in midstretch but was not quite good enough. LEJERO had no apparent excuse in an even performance. MISENSATION made up some ground but could not seriously threaten. KEN-RUTH bore out on leaving the backstretch and dropped back steadily thereafter. DARLING DADDY was void of early speed, moved with a rush on the outside entering the final quarter mile and, in a long drive, proved slightly best TILE KING moved to the fore before going three-eighths, drew clear while saving ground and just failed to last. HERMAN L. loomed boldly from between horses on -entering the stretch but could not sustain his move. FOREVER MORE was never a factor. ANCIENT GREEK had speed from the start, saved ground to the final half mile where he was brought out for the drive and, under strong handling, wore down CAPT. KIM in the final strides. The latter, never far back, moved to the front with a rush after going five-eighths, drew clear and, in a long drive, just failed to last. SEA TALE was probably best for he was forced to lose many lengths when blocked and taken up sharply a quarter mile out. WONDROUS HOUR found her best stride too late. The latter found his best stride too late. NOSTREBOR held on fairly well after making the pace to the stretch turn.- MR. JONES closed a big gap following a sluggish beginning.
