AAA THE FORE HUNDRED: It actually happened to Sam Snead, the great golfer who is the pro at the Greenbriar Hotel. Two beginners approached him and asked if one of them could take a lesson. Snead isnt wild about giving lessons but he said "Sure" and took em out on the course. After half an hour of teaching the fellow how to drive a golf ball he turned to the other gentleman and asked, "Would you like a lesson, too?" The fellow shook his head, "No thank, you, I learned yesterday." AAA SHOW FOLK: Anita Ekberg wrote a NY pal and blamed all her marital problems on "the newspapermen." Atta Girl. The sponsor, Ford, doesnt want to use "Crisis" because it sounds too much like "Climax," etc. which is also auto-sponsored. . . . NBC has offered Ty Power -everything cept CBS to do "Crime and Punishment" as a Spec. . . . Fred MacMur-ray is the newest of the Hal March replacements of 4G? . . . The irony of it: When a TV spectacular is broadcast from the West Coast and seen "live" in N.-.Y. the Californians dont see it till three hours later and then they get it on kinescope. THfe time difference is the reason.
