► MONMOUTH PARK BUT FIRST— Track may have been a little too- hard for this sprinter last week vhen he bore out badly. Capable of better effort if he finds softer footing. COUSIN ON— Good filly had little chance after being carried wide and impeded in her last race. KNAVE — Looked to be on this toes working over the grass between races on Thursday afternoon. May emerge into one of the top turf runners of the season. MOSSCENT— Still performing greenly, but is a good-looking colt and ■ figures to show improvement. OUR LIA — Has been overmatched in her most recent races. May be ready for a victory when placed properly. SWIFT WIND-— Filly made a big move around horses in a race last week, but lost too much ground tired. Moves up several lengths when the track is muddy. VITRIFIED — Juvenile son of Slide Rule ran a winning race when he finished second here last week, losing a tremendous amount of ground outside horses.. Looks like a promising Jersey-bred. VIVI — Gave a green performance in her first local essay but she has been working excellently and could score soon. FLYING LOVER — Two-year-old colt was probably best in his last two starts. May win at first asking for new owner if not raised too high. WAR OF ROSES— Appears to be coming along nicely and should soon be ready for a top effort. BEACH — Was practically left at the gate and still finished second in last outing. Figures to defeat the same kind with a better start. N
