ETON BLUE went to the front at once and, after settling into the stretch with a 1 good lead, was briskly handled to retain a safe margin. VILLAGE IDIOT, never far back, responded readily when set down in the drive but could not reach the winner, although easily best of the others. OUR PALLY, outrun early and, racing wide entering the stretch, was unable to threaten the leaders. VENGEANCE made a bold bid approaching the stretch and then tired. MARLOW ROAD raced wide. DRAKES DRUM could not keep up. PLAZA SQUARE was never dangerous. MESS HALL showed nothing. BY VOTE was through early. PLEDGE drifted out during the last three-eighths mile. BON-RU-MAR, forwardly placed from the start, raced NANETTE into defeat after entering the stretch and then held HIDI-ANN safe. The latter steadily worked her way forward to the stretch and closed strongly but could not reach the winner. FALCULA, taken back after the break and outrun to the stretch, finished fast but was unable to get to the leaders. MOUNTAIN HOLLY, fractious during the post parade, unseated her rider and galloped off a slow quarter mile, made a bold bid in the early stretch and then weakened. NANETTE took command at once and set the pace to the final furlong but failed to stay when challenged by BON-RU-MAR. MARY LAWLER began slowly and raced wide. BE LOST could not keep up. PRIZE PURCHASE, away fast, was -taken in hand after leading for three-sixteenths mile, came again when set down through the stretch and wore down TAGAMA in the last strides. TAGAMA, a sharp factor from the outset, settled into the stretch with a good lead and held on willingly but was unable to withstand the winner. APPLE SPY raced evenly to the stretch and then could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. EVER SO HUMBLE attempted to bear out entering the stretch and then ciosed fairly well when straightened up. VIXENS JOY could not keep up. CEYLON PEARL was never dangerous. BEBBYS BELLE showed nothing. LIL MOUSE, prominent to the stretch, had nothing left for the drive. QUICK PASS broke slowly and raced greenly. Scratched-Nabe, 111; Periapt, 113. DEEP BLUE SEA raced evenly for a half mile and then closed gamely under punishment OPERA DATE began fast and set the pace to the final furlong, then faltered. WILLING MISS, on the outsideL early, closed determinedly when set down through the stretch. AGATHEA. forwardly placed from the outset, , swerved while tiring during the drive. ROMAN SONG, prominent to the stretch, had nothing left for the drive LINDLANE .could not keep up. UPSY DAISY began poorly. PAVONIA broke slowly and raced wide. WILLBESUNNY was never prominent. LOUKEMAC, outrun early, moved up fast after three-eighths mile, was roughed approaching the stretch and. early during the drive by INFORMANT, secdred racing room between horses near the furlong post after his rider illegally used his. whip and wore down RED CADET in the last strides, then was disqualified for fouling and placed last RED CADET, forwardly placed from the outset, reached the lead between calls near the finish but was unable to withstand LOUKENMAC.: VISCOUNT went to the front before a quarter mile, swerved to the inside passing the eighth-mile post and, roughing GELIO, faltered during the last seventy yards. VISCOUNT was disqualified from third for fouling GELIO and placed sixth after GELIOs rider lodged an objection. GELIO moved up boldly on the inside entering the stretch, was forced to take up when fouled by VISCOUNT and failed to recover. JUJITSU was never dangerous. INFORMANT, forwardly placed from the outset, bothered LOUKENMAC in the early stretch, then gave way after his rider was struck by jockey Usserys whip during the drive. BUNNYS BABE was through early.
