Five Sportsmans Victors Vie Today Mangam Favored For Second Score Pits Speed With Wading Butcher, Smoke-Me-Now, Headquarters and Count B. SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero. 111., May 1. — Three-year-olds take the spotlight at Sportsmans Park Friday when an array of five winners of their last races at this meeting clash in the ,500 Hachazo Purse. Slated as the seventh race, the feature has jdrawn eight horses for the one-mile affair. Heading the field of winners is Emil Dene-mark Jr.s Mangam, the likely favorite, who posted his most recent victory in the 6-furlong Sun David Purse on April 24. In his only other start here, Mangam was second to Wading Butcher. The latter, owned by the Partlow Farms, is also slated to start. Mrs. B. Niermans Smoke-Me-Now, a "big payoff" winner on last Mondays program as he took the 6-furlong dash, returning 8.20; Carl Ditmores Count B., a winner on April 21, and John Hughes* Headquarters also successful here, round out the winners in Fridays feature. Completing the field are Harry Houghs Bay Boy, Harold Bockmans Klompen and A. A. FriehaufS Sultans Sweetie. Nash* to Draw Good Field Nominations for Saturdays 5,000 Thomas D. Nash Memorial Handicap at .1 1-16 miles shapes up as one of the. best fields of the current meeting. Topping the list is Charles Fritz* SirTribal. The big gray appears to have regained his best form, since last summer when he trounced a stout and tough group in last Saturdays one mile 0,000 spring handicap; Others expected to bid for the Nash Memorial are Earl Careys Silver State, winner of the 5,000 Inaugural Handicap; F. and W.
