Give Furyvan 121 Pounds For Golden Gate Derby Prize Host Tops List With ] 22 For Saturdays 0,000 Race GOLDEN GATE FIELDS, Albany, Calif., May 1. — Martin Traubs Furyvan, who captured the mile Oakland Handicap under 116 pounds, will pack substantially more in the 0,000 Golden Gate Derby, which also is a handicap, at 1 1-16 miles on Saturday. The son of Good Ending has been assigned 121 pounds for the headliner, only one less than the topweighted Prize Host, owned by the Golden Gate Stable. In the OaklandrHandicap, in which Prize Host alsp shouldered 122 pounds, the Golden Gate Stable colt missed by only a neck after having made, all the pace. Furyvan, with his six-pound pull in the weights, got up in the last few strides to snatch victory from Prize- Host. Both of the highweights are certain starters in the Derby in which Prize Host will be seeking his second stakes triumph of the meeting. Prior to his effort in the Oakland Handicap the son of Your Host captured the Richmond Handicap at 6 furlongs and in that event he carried 126 pounds.
