GALLANT JUNIOR, unhurried while well- back early, was taken up sharply while commencing his move near the. three-eighths pole, then was sent outside to wear down the leaders under pressure. BAIL OUT, hard held while in contention, responded when placed to pressure but was not good enough. MEDAL MAN raced MAPLE SHADE into defeat early, set the pace under rating and weakened slightly. BATTLE FLAG moved menacingly into the stretch and gave way. MAPLE SHADE dueled with MEDAL MAN and weakened. ROYAL BRICK was outrun. LAURCHAR gave way early.
