1 : r 1 OMAHA TURF NOTES ? e Arrivals from Aurora have- been heavy during the past few days, increasing the number of thoroughbreds on the grounds by more than two hundred. W. L. McCue checked in from Exposition Park with Eldred L., Miss Delba, Twinkle Eye, Miss Bunon, Newels Choice. The consignment of Gorbet and Irvin included Vishnu, Cassada, Longus, Flying Justice, Jack Murphy, Claflag, Oddesa-Beau, Dr. Louis Hamman Ronnie A., Chokoloskee, Bahadur, Enab, Valley, Port o Play, Anns Baby. Harry Wells brought in one horse from Illinois; The racer is Empress Mother. The Trainer and J. Selby went into quarters at Ak-Sar-Ben track and will race in the silks of O. W. Swearingen. Fred Derby, trainer of, a. public stable owned by various citizens of Omaha, registered, the following horses: Cocheater, Sand Brush, Nutwood, Le Karongo, JDerbys Pride, The First. All are Nebraska bred. Another, recent arrival is W. H. Vanscoy,, who. will race Plunging Sun, McLeay, Catherine Van and Ester Wheel in his own interests. , The seven performers Earl Beezeley has in training here are Charlie Chan, Zapoter, Helen F., Wristlet, Jerry C, Dr. Spoon, Sally Keystone.. Mark T. Cox reported the. death of the two-year-old Ten Yen which, succumbed to cai fever contracted en route from Tan-foran. li was the second loss sustained by Cox, Miss Cutup .having- died previously. Leo "Lightning" Jones arrived from New Orleans, accompanied by his brother Dan- ny, a former rider. Jones is under engafie-J ment to A. C. Russell. 6 b ;j Jockeys J. Kinsella and J.
