BLUE DAMSEL BY A HEAD TORONTO, Ont, May 29. W. T. Raines Blue Damsel, a mud running daughter of Blue Pete and Balmacara, drove to a head victory- over" Dave Garritys Black Stock-, ings in; the mile and a furlong fifth race, which occupied the principal position on a mid-week program decided over a heavy track at Thorncliffe this afternoon. The thirteen-year-old George De Mar was third in the field of six. The Maple Leaf professional hockey feam was honored by president W. R. Woollatt and his associates, the races being named for individual members of the team, A larger .crowd than opening, day witnessed the card under- ideal wveather .conditions.
