1 WASHINGTON PARK NOTES : e George Woolf leaves for Detroit where he will ride Azucar, which he had piloted to victory in the 00,000 Santa Anita Handicap. From Detroit, Wbolf goes to Latonia to guide Whiskolo in the Latonia Derby. George Swain will be located every morn-ning at Lincoln Fields from 8 to 9:30 oclock to accept entries and scratches. Black Helen and Bloodroot were shipped to Belmont Park in charge of William Hurley. They will run in the Coaching Club American Oaks Saturday. Trainer Wilbur Zeigler vanned Baku, Ep, Near Sun, Potesta, Aftus, Acies and Carius to Lincoln Fields from Aurora. Artful Lad, two-year-old gelding by Raf- fles Golden Art, in the stable of C. Morris died Wednesday morning from pneumonia contracted in shipping from Texas. Trainer N. K. Beal transferred Rouless, Prince Plato and Diane Throne to Lincoln Fields from Aurora. The Bomar Stables Grand Slam is expected here Thursday from Detroit. He is a candidate for Saturdays running here of the ,000 added Prairie State Stakes. Trainer R. E. Potts is expected with the colt. Jockey F. Hernandez accepted his first mount of the meeting on Canteron in the eighth race Wednesday. He is under contract to C. L. Helm. Herbert M. Wolf, prominent Kansas City sportsman, arrived from his home for a visit of several days.
