Morgan and comprising Woody Simon, Car- . dinal Jack; Bridle Drive and Sun Tryst, was an arrival. Trainer S. S. Tracy sent Sad Knight tor1 Detroit by van. - . " -" Gay Mode and Indiana Maid, a juvenile filly, owned by Mrs. H. R. Butts and trained by her husband, arrived at Lincoln Fields. Tearout, owned by D. B. Midkiff of Lexington, was shipped to Latonia .Wednesday by trainer Howard Wells, to run in the Latonia Derby Saturday. His trainer was well pleased with Tearouts performance in the Illinois Derby at Aurora, in which the colt finished third to Sun Portland and Roman! Soldier. Roman Soldier, property of Sachsenmaier and Reuter, and the Milky Way Farms Whiskolo will be transferred to Latonia Thursday for their engagements in the Derby. Phil Reuter, part owner and trainer of Roman Soldier,, will accompany the colt to-j. the Milldale course and trainer Robert Mc- Garvey will look after Whiskolo. Jockeys William Hanka, George Woolf and Lester Balaski will, remain here through Friday before going to the Kentucky course,. to ride Tearout, Whiskolo and Roman Soldier, respectively, in the Derby.- Lawrence D. Jones and J. H. Patterson field men .for the Thoroughbred Horsemens Association, were arrivals from Kansas Cityc and Latonia respectively.
