BUSY JAY, under stout restraint early and on the inside, responded gamely to strong riding, overhauled JAZ AGE nearing the end and outfinished him under, punishment. The latter raced clear after a quarter, continued gamely, shook off PARADE STEP in the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. PARADE STEP, a strong factor throughout, held on well. MIL raced well under a hustling ride. GRAND MANNER had no excuse. GRANIA was outrun. FELAWAKE displayed good speed to the final eighth, then tired, LADY KIEV was far back throughout and pulled up lame. PUN showed nothing. Scratched 09750 Hasty Hanna, 100. EMILEO, much the best and a strong factor from the start, overhauled HI-HUN approaching the stretch, lost much ground when forced wide by the latter, drew out fast after taking command and won in hand. HI-HUN displayed good speed, reached the lead early, set the pace to the stretch, then lost ground gradually, yet held EARLY CALL safe. EARLY CALL, prominent throughout, closed gamely, but was no threat. OUR BUD quit. GRAY JACK had no mishaps. HAPPY RHINOCK closed resolutely. The latter offered strong contention to the final eighth, then lost ground, but easily held JOHNNY O. safe. The latter improved his position gradually,; but was no menace for the first two. OUR BETTIE tired after racing well up for a half mile. TROIKA was outrun. DEARZIN showed nothing. GLAMOROUS began quickly, displayed speed for a half mile, then quit. BUFFOONERY trailed throughout. Won easily; second and third driving. LINE DRIVE began well, was in close quarters early, moved to the lead when clear, withstood a game challenge from JUDGE KAVANAGH and won going away. The latter, fractious r,t the post, broke well, set Hq pace for a quarter mile, gave way to the winner after offering good contention, but was losing ground In the closing stages. PETER PUMPKIN raced evenly in a good performance. MISS SUBWAY lost much; ground throughout, then finished resolutely. SANSKRIT had no excuse. BROADWAY LAD failed to keep up. SOUTH BEND, widely outrun for a half mile, gained rapidly thereafter and finished resolutely. MUCHO GUSTO, fractious at the post, began fast, gave way to MANNERS MAN .hen challenged, then lost ground in the stretch. JONNIE NUCHOLS raced well. WISE BESSA could not keep up. SHADY WOOD rushed to contention early, then weakened badly.
