JOCKEY COUCCI PINED TWICE NEW YORK, N. Y., May 29. It is not often that a jockey is handed two fines in one race, but it happened to Coucci in the third race Tuesday, when he was fined 0 by starter Cassidy before the start of the race, in which he was riding the Greentree Stables Peradyenture. Cassidy fined Coucci for using his whip so vigorously that he lost hold of it. "You have no chance anyway," he said to Meade, who was riding Wise Sister, "let me take "your whip." Meade" accommodatingly passed over his gat. When the race was over the stewards wanted to know what it was all about and when they learned what had happened they fined Meade 5 for giving up his whip and Coucci an additional 5 for taking it.
