The greatest field of three-year-olds to race in New England will, parade postward in the richly endowed Decoration Day Handfcap, feature offering of the holiday program at beautiful Rockingham Park." Of the twenty-eight nominated for the 0,000 prize, sixteen have been named through the entry box. It is by far the greatest galaxy of three-year-olds that has ever graced the Salem racing strip. Plat Eye, third in the Withers last Saturday at Belmont Park, is asked to shoulder top weight of 125 pounds. Jockey Silvio Coucci, .the Bronx express, held in many quarters as the outstanding rider in the country at the present time, -will be astride the Green-tree representative. Plat Eye will haye Up . and Up as a running mate. The Belair Stud arid Wheatley Stable will be represented by Sir Beverley and Maddest, "which have been assigned 105 and 101 pounds, respectively; Willie Saunders, who guided Omaha to victory in both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, will come up from New York to pilot Sir Bev- 1 erley. "... Jockey H. Richards came up froiri New York to guide W. R. Coes Pompeys Pillar. The Coe standard bearer is asked to pick up 116 pounds. Trainer J. P. Smith flew up from New York to saddle Ariel Cross, one that has been assigned 108 pounds. J. H. Louchheims Morpluck, one that wa3 conditioned in South Carolina and sent to: Miami to take part in the Florida Derby,- has yet to race to his private trials. It1 is not beyond the realm of possibilities that the son of Morvich may show decided improvement in this stake. He will shoulder 111 pounds. Jockey T. Malley, another arrival from the metropolitan circuitr will have the leg up on the colt.
