T LATONIA TURF NOTES 0 : . Apprentice Paul Clelland was suspended fifteen racing days by the Latonia stewards Tuesday. His offense was grabbing the foot of apprentice M. L. Fallon who rode the winner of the. seventh race, Prince Fluz. Clelland had the mount on Arakay. Former jockey Willie Crump was so Impressed with the riding performance of apprentice Harold Beasy that he signed the lad for three years. The youngster was under contract to the late Wood F. Axton and has ridden over twenty races. Beasy hails from Louisville and is a brother of apprentice C. Beasy, who is under call to E. F. Snyder. Crump regards Beasy so highly that he is going to allow him to ride Golden Pigeon in the second race Thursday. . Mack Garner, who Is to ride McCarthy in: the Latonia Derby, was astride the son of Star Master in his work of one mile and one-1 eighth Wednesday morning. McCarthy negotiated the distance in 1:58 over the dull racing strip. When Garner dismounted he commented: "McCarthy is going to fool a lot of people in his Derby engagement here." The latest consignment of horses to reach Latonia were those of J. E. Mason. The shipment comprised Grand Rock, Brilliant Rose, King Bonny, Kings Coat, Memphis Girl, Hash Rock, Black Memphis, Hasty Ann, Cohort Girl, Valley Rose and Duckie Rose. The shipment, accompanied by jockey Harold Chinn, came from Paris, Ky. ,
