GLOWING COAL forced the pace under good handling, disposedof ELANAC in the stretch and withstood PELORIA. The latter, away quickly, made up ground fast in the, opening eighth, lost ground thereafter and was wearing the winner down at the end ELANAC sprinted into, a good, lead in the opening quarter, gave way when challenged and held on. well.
