SAVAGE BEAUTY, in tight quarters going to the turn, swung to the outside when moving to the leaders entering the stretch, took command in the linal eighth and, continuing strongly, came out gradually approaching the finish. CAREFUL MISS was forced to race on the outside after breaking slowly, challenged stoutly when reaching the stretch and held on well in the closing drive. KEYWORD raced close up in the first five-eighths, then tired slowly. THE DRUM obtained racing room on the inside, moved up boldly midway of the turn, but tired and came wide at the close. TRANSIT BIRD raced forwardly early. MARINELLA could not reach contention after breaking very slowly yvith TEDDYS SQUAW, AERO quit. SWIMALONG took command at the first jump, was steadied after going into a clear lead, withstood repeated efforts from BUDGET BOY and had something in reserve at the end. BUDGET BOY, rated for tha first turn of the field, made a determined bid going to the twelfth fence, but was held safe approaching the finish. DAFFY, rserved for the first mile, improved his position steadily and came stoutly at the finish. BLUE VISION raced forwardly for a mdc and a half, then tired. SUNNY LASSIE yvas rushed hard in the first mile, made a bad landing at the eighth fence and fell back thereafter. MILLICAN was never a factor. STARE fell at the thirteenth jump and was knocked out. CHAMPS ELYSEES vcas moving into a forward position coming to the thirteenth fence, but yvent lame and was pulled up. CAPSTAN ran out at the first fence. PHILIPPI BOY took command midway of Hie back stretch, yvas rated until reaching the stretch, then drew clear steadily when placed to pressure. FLAVOR, in a forward position from the start, was shaken up strongly entering the stretch, but could not ensage the winner. SIR KAI, away very slowly, settled into his stride and finished full of run in the last quarter mile. JAKOVIA yvas hustled hard all the way and had no mishaps. MARSON yvas making up ground stoutly at the end. SHYNO saved a lot of ground, but faltered in the last eighth. CHAMBERSBURGER yvas away very slowly. ALBUQUERQUE tired after a half mile. GALON BOY did not favor the footing and yvas dene early. YEN R AC yvas held safe. FOLLY REIGII was left when she refused to break. HI-SWEET, fractious at the, barrier, was forced to better his position on the outside after being away slowly, reached contention midway of the turn, came around the leaders and drew out nicely after disposing rf DANARCO. The latter went prominently in the early running, ran down MISS PECAN when reaching the stretch, but could not withstand the winner after getting to the front. OFFENDER held apposition in the early contention ind continued stoutly when placed to a hard drive. TITANICAL broke nicely, raced close to the leaders, but was not cood enoueh when the real test came. MISS PECAN displayed good early speed, but tired after five-eighths. PRETTY PAL was in tight quarters in the first quarter mile, obtained racing room in the last three-sixteenths and held on strongly. VIRNOCK was forced to lose ground from the start and could not threaten. ALAHAD showed a flash of early speed. VIVOLA could not get to the leaders. CHILKAT was never dangerous. SLUMP had no speed. The latter had much more speed than usual to take a brief lead caily. shook off stout opposition from CANTINE LASS and MUST BE, but could not withstand the winner. CANTINE LASS forced a steady pace after being hustled hard, but had much taken out of her and tired in the last eighth. MUST BE was eased back when caught in ticht quarters entering the back stretch, followed, close up and held on courageously. BOOTMAKER was rated within striking distance of the winner for three-quarters, then was put to a hard drive, but was not good enough. TREFORD lacked speed in the footing to prove a menace. GOLDEN VEIN, under slight restraint while racing on the inside and following close to FLOWER TIME, rallied to gain command in the closing eighth and was under pressure at the end. The latter went into a short lead early, withstood stiff contention in the first seven eighths, but was not good enoueh in the final issue. FLYING FALCON went forwardly placed and finished fastest of all in the final drive. TAUNTON went evenly throughout. ROLLICK closed a big gap in the last half mile. MINTON, outrun for the first three-quarters, worked his way up on the outside and, closing resolutely when reaching the home stretch, was up in the last few strides. JIM JOHN lost command to CREDULOUS when midway of the back stretch, regained the lead when the latter ran out at the stretch turn, but could not stall off the winner. CREDULOUS went up on the inside to take command midway of the bad: stretch, ran out badly entering the stretch and came again when straightened out. BALMACAN could not better Jiis position, but showed a good effort. PEEDEEQUE was rushed up on the inside of the final turn, but tired thereafter. EUDES was messed about from the start. R.
