PEGGY TORCH worked her way forward steadily, swerved to the inside after reaching the stretch and tired thereafter. STURDY BOY hustled into a good lead early, gave way when challenged and tired steadily during the final eighth. TONEY DOO unseated his rider during the parade to the post, ran awav for an eighth, but showed a good effort. ESCOPETTE made up ground. SWEET THING was outrun. AGENT quit.
