EPSOM DOWNS TURF NOTES i Earl Driver, sixteen-year-old youngster hailing from Lufkin, Texas, has been taken under contract for three years by F. J. Estes. However, the lad will not bo seen in action for some time. R. F. Tice was an arrival from the Beulah Park track with Luna Bright, Blonde Baggage, Statecraft and Whoa Back. The horses arrived Wednesday night and went into quarters at Epsom Downs. Negotiations for the sale of Charles "Chuck" Parkes contract to Mrs. Emil Den-cmark, reported several days ago, have been discontinued and it is probable that the youngster will join his brother, Ivan, on the Pacific Coast for the winter racing season there. Word was received by Norman "Butscy" Hernandez of the death of his nephew, Herman Francis, in New Orleans. He succumbed after a lingering illness of more than six months.
