NOTIFYS FORTUNATE ESCAPE KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 9. A peculiar incident happened in the running of the first race Thursday when Notify, which was running close to the leaders, fell approaching the half-mile pole and lost her rider The mare rose to her feet arid took after the others, and as those trailing reached the eighth pole, Notify caught them and swerved into Juror, causing the latter to stumble and unseat his rider. The lmpac. threw Notify off balance, and she fell into the inside rail and went over the rail and fell into the center field. Notify was not hurt in the accident and got to her feet shortly afterward.
