1 RIVERSIDE PARK TURF NOTES 4 14" "Speedy" ODowd, outrider at Riversfde Park, was rushed to the hospital here Thursday for an emergency operation. ODowd suffered a ruptured hernia late Wednesday night. Jockey J. Adams is far out in front of the riders here this meeting. At the present time Adams has ridden thirty winners and is eleven in front of his nearest rival, Willis Brown. Wednesday Adams rode four winners equaling the .feat performed by Brown earlier in the week. On five different days Adams rode three winners. Harold J. Morrison, who has been doing the starting here since illness followed by death forced "Mickey" Harris out, is dispatching the fields like a veteran. This is Morrisons first time in the starters stand and he bids fair to become a regular. The new starter was one of Harris ground men for several years.
